This is a totally integrated software solution running on reference design hardware with a telephone interface for voice and Ethernet packet interface. In addition to the OS and networking layers, the software solution includes a VoIP reference application layer (for ATA, WiFi phone, etc), voice signaling protocol (SIP, MGCP, or H.323), packetizing (RTP, Jitter Buffer), voice processing (echo cancellation, voice compression, DTMF, etc.) and telephony drivers (for interfacing to phones or speaker/microphone)

Participated in SiPit 15, an international SIP Forum interoperability test event, Taipei, Taiwan. The purpose of a SiPit event is to test for interoperability of SIP implementations, to determine if there are incompatibilities between implementations, and to prepare a revision of the SIP specification, if necessary. While the rules of participation require that individual results of the event are kept confidential, it enables D2 to test and verify its SIP implementation with other vendors.
