D2 Technologies to showcase VoLTE and video calls at LTE Asia Summit
D2’s mCUE® 4G IMS client software enables simultaneous rich communication services (RCS), VoLTE (IR.92) and video calls (IR.94)
Singapore (LTE Asia Summit), Santa Barbara, CA – Sept. 23 2014 — D2 Technologies, the market leader in embedded IP communications software platforms, today announced that it will showcase an implementation of the GSMA’s Network 2020 “green button promise” truly native IP-based communication experience providing native VoLTE calls, video-based calling and Rich Communication Services (RCS). D2 will showcase its mCUE 4G embedded IMS client, which is integrated in the handset device, during the LTE Asia Summit, which kicks off today.
This live demonstration will seamlessly combine comprehensive RCS, VoLTE (IR.92) and video calling (IR.94) using IMS and LTE infrastructure elements from NewNet and Node-H. D2 Technologies’ mCUE 4G software implements these rich-call and rich-messaging features natively in the mobile handset for a completely seamless user experience.
“The future is here. We will be showcasing the IMS VoLTE and RCS technology that mobile network operators can utilize in their handset offerings now,” said Doug Makishima, chief operating officer for D2 Technologies. “D2 is helping operators and device OEMs seamlessly integrate video, voice, rich messaging and media sharing natively into the device communications experience. As mobile operators extend their networks with 4G LTE and IP-based IMS services, consumers will be able to realize enhanced communications capabilities that are natively part of the device experience.”
Visitors to LTE Asia Summit can come to the exhibition area during exhibition hours to view a demo of mCUE 4G running on the Google Nexus 5 by LG connecting to an IMS RCS server from NewNet Communications Technologies via an LTE femto cell from Node-H.
