Joint Solution Validated with Top Tier U.S. and Korean Operators
Santa Barbara and San Jose, CA – February 27, 2014 – GCT® Semiconductor, a leading designer and supplier of advanced 4G mobile semiconductor solutions, and D2 Technologies, the market leader in embedded IP communications software platforms, today announced integration of D2’s vPort 4G+ IMS software with GCT’s GDM7243 4G LTE mobile chipset to enable VoLTE and IR.94 IP video call functionality for mobile and machine to machine (M2M) devices. The two companies successfully completed interoperability testing (IOT) and demonstrated the joint solution in mobile and automotive applications with top-tier U.S. and Korean mobile network operators.
GCT’s GDM7243S is the latest LTE solution that integrates a separate CPU for processing of VoLTE. D2’s VoLTE software is completely ported and running inside GDM7243S without an external processor.
