In the first presentation, "Turning your Unified Communications Solution into a Mobile Asset," Makishima and others will address how IT managers can extend the power of in-place unified communications solutions to mobile devices and explore how the latest carrier network technologies affect the enterprise.

Also at the 4G Wireless Evolution Conference on Wednesday, September 14 at 3:00 p.m., Makishima will discuss how Voice over LTE (VoLTE) will impact services from mobile operators in “VoLTE and the IMS Core: Last Stand or Last Straw?” In this panel presentation, Makishima, Anatoli Levine, Sr., director of product management for RADVISION and Manual Vexler, chief marketing officer for IMS and NGN at Huawei Technologies, will take a look at potential changes in carrier strategies, such as whether or not VoLTE and RCS will bring a new era to business plans or mark the transition to packets as the only unit of measure.
